Base pay rangeKey Person - Early Years Practitioner | Islington (N5) | Full Time | From £13.85 per hourOur client is a Nursery based in the heart of Highbury.The staff work hard to challenge children and provide a nurturing environment to enhance learning to support and extend individual interests. They are a charity that fundraises throughout the year through raffles, events including Carnival, an Easter Bunny Hop and the Christmas party. The money raised then goes back into the Nursery on children’s resources and trips.The Nursery is in an ideal location with Highbury fields and local shops within a 5-10 minute walk away, and the Arsenal Stadium and station 5 minutes away.You will be welcomed into a diverse setting inclusive of all cultures and festivals celebrated by the families in the Nursery.Are you the right person for the job?Level 3 or above in Childcare/Early Years Education2+ years of experience in an early years setting (preferred)Strong understanding of the EYFSFamiliarity with ‘Planning in the Moment’ is a bonusA confident, nurturing approach to child developmentA passion for outdoor play and nature-based learningFlexibility to work various shifts between 8am-6pm, all year roundWhat will your role look like?Act as a Key Person to a small group of children, forming strong relationships with them and their familiesPlan and deliver inspiring, play-based learning experiences tailored to individual interests and needsCarry out regular observations, assessments, and documentation in line with the EYFSProvide emotional and developmental support throughout the daily routineWork collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, safe and stimulating learning environmentEmbrace and contribute to our outdoor learning ethos, including all-weather playCommunicate effectively with parents/carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progressMaintain a clean, organised and inclusive setting in line with nursery policiesWhat can you expect in return?Supportive, inclusive working environmentAdditional leave + sick payCasual dressHealth & wellbeing programmeTraining and progression opportunitiesWhat’s next?
