An existing opportunity to join a busy, forward-thinking Podiatry team is now available. You will have the opportunity to work across the Guildford and Waverley community sites as well as the acute setting. You will be required to provide comprehensive foot health services for the local community and work in different clinics and home settings across the area, supported by Podiatrists and Podiatry Assistants. The successful candidate will progress to managing an allocated caseload following training, including patient assessments, wound care, routine treatments, and caseload management. There will be a requirement to make patient appointments, schedule clinic alterations, and ensure clinics run smoothly and are well-stocked. Main duties of the jobTo work as part of the Podiatry team in delivering a high-quality and effective service to patients. Responsibilities for the role also include: Supporting the Podiatrists in clinic and surgery settings. Preparing the clinic for sessions. Undertaking your own clinical caseload in clinics, wards, and domiciliary settings. Ensuring effective communication of information to patients, relatives, carers (with various levels of understanding), and other healthcare professionals. Assessing and treating patients independently according to team standards and protocols. Working flexibly across inpatient, outpatient, and home visit settings. Operating within a 5-day service schedule. Person SpecificationQualificationsNVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience and knowledge. Portfolio evidence of relevant experience and CPD in the specialist field. KnowledgeAbility to work on own initiative and recognize when to seek assistance. Broad experience as a Band 3 therapy assistant, Podiatry assistant, HCA, CRA, or Technical Instructor. NHS experience within an acute setting. Recent experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team, with understanding of team roles and responsibilities. Understanding of common medical conditions and terminology.
