You will play a key role in supporting delivery of high-quality dental care and oral health education to a diverse patient population throughout the Forth Valley area.About the RoleAs a vital member of the Public Dental Service team, you will: Support the delivery of clinical care and oral health improvement initiatives. Contribute to the implementation of theScottish Government’s Dental Action Plan , includingPaediatric Oral Health Programmes . Deliver oral health awareness and training sessions in a variety of settings, including:Schools Care Homes Prisons Independent dental practices NHS Forth Valley Primary and Acute Care departmentsAbility and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.Essential CriteriaGDC Registered Dental Nurse Significant post-qualification experience Qualification in Oral Health Education/Promotion (e.g. NEBDN, BTEC, Royal Society of Health, or PDA in Delivering Oral Health Interventions) Excellent communication and organisational skills Strong time management and prioritisation abilities Proven ability to engage and motivate others to adopt improved oral health practices Note:Applicants without the required Oral Health qualification may still apply. In such cases, the post will be offered underAnnex 21 of Agenda for Changeterms and conditions. The successful candidate must complete the qualification within 18 months of starting the course or within 24 months of taking up the post.
