Role SummaryAs the Senior Assistant, you will assist the Technician in the smooth running of the Dispensary. About the RoleFor more information on the Job Description and Responsibilities, please click the link below. We have an exciting opportunity to join the Dispensary as a Senior Pharmacy Assistant. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic individual to assist with the dispensing of medication for our inpatient, outpatient, discharge, and Controlled Drug prescriptions. You will assist the Technician in the smooth running of the Dispensary by liaising with the wider multidisciplinary team, supervising and assisting with the training of junior staff, and carrying out a final accuracy check of medications. Consideration will be given to strong candidates who may not meet the essential criteria to undertake this role on a developmental basis with set competency targets. Roles offered on a developmental basis will be banded lower (band 2) than originally advertised until competency targets are met. Any successful applicant will be expected to participate in flexible working, which will include weekend, late duty, and Bank Holiday rotas. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Interview Date: To be confirmed Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2025/6 rates, inclusive of a 3.6% pay award which will be implemented later this year. If you join before the implementation date, the pay award will be backdated to your start date.
