Our 24 hour Urgent Treatment centre treats a widevariety of illness and injury across all age ranges. The HCA / Driver will workin a supporting role, providing high quality patient centred care under thesupervision of the Urgent Care Practitioners and General Practitioners. The Urgent Care Service also provides home visits by ourclinicians who require a Healthcare Assistant / Driver to transport and assistthem to patient homes across County Durham. In addition our HCA / Driver will provide a patient transport service tosupport patient access to Urgent treatment Centre appointments as required. Main duties of the jobThe HCA / Driver will carry out routine HCA duties, e.grecording observations, urinalysis , venepuncture, monitoring and escortingpatients under the supervision of the managing clinician. The role also involves performing ECG recordings, carryingout minor dressings and applying immobilisation techniques such as splintsplaster of paris backslabs. Main duties also include restocking consulting rooms andhome visiting car as well as perfomring car checks. Training will be provided as required.
