Role overview:We are seeking a motivated retail assistant to join our trading team, acting as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK and taking responsibility for the shop on Sundays. Responsibilities include: Overseeing shop operations on Sundays, including keyholder duties (training provided) and supporting volunteers. Helping achieve sales and fundraising targets. Reviewing and processing donations and stock. Generating creative ideas to increase income, with guidance from the Shop Manager. Providing excellent customer service to supporters and customers. Maintaining shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance, and health and safety. Performing manual handling and physical activities as required. Ideal candidate qualities: Knowledge of excellent customer service. Experience in lively, vibrant environments. Adaptability and ability to work independently or in a team. Commercial awareness. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Flexibility to work on a rota basis, balancing work and personal life.
