Job overview The Position involves working with a demanding client group of personality disordered offenders. Therefore you will be given the opportunity and expected to attend regular participation in staff support, reflective practice and individual supervision. You must be able to physically respond efficiently and confidently to a crisis ie be able to assist in the delivery of first aid, or employ de-escalation techniques which you will have completed training during your induction to the trust You will work under the direct and indirect supervision and guidance of the nursing and Psychology team to implement care with a group of offenders with a diagnosis of Personality Disorder, maintaining their dignity, privacy and choice, treating them with respect at all times. Main duties of the job The senior Psychosocial Therapist support worker role is sitting in the middle by given support to nurses by working as a security nurses, responding to emergencies within the unit on a rotational basis, facilitating enhance observation, escorting patients either for hospital appointments or section 17 leave. The Senior Psychosocial Therapist Support worker will also support Psychologist by facilitating groups, therapeutic 1:1, mentoring patients and support in the completion of HCR-20.
