At The Metropolitan PoliceBusiness Analyst Salary:The starting salary is £60,893 which includes allowances totalling £2,928. The salary is broken down as £57,965 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £63,230 Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000. Location / Hybrid Working:The primary Met Location for this role is Bow. Travel across the Met Estate, to attend meetings as required by the business, is expected. More details relating to UK Security Clearance can be found here: The Role: As a Business Analyst in the Met’s Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of policing through smart, evidence led technology investments. You’ll work at the heart of the Met’s digital transformation, supporting complex, high-value projects, some worth up to £10M that directly impact how frontline officers operate and serve the public. Your insights and analysis will help senior leaders make informed decisions, ensuring the right technologies are chosen and implemented effectively. Responsibilities: You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify opportunities for digital solutions. Using a range of analysis techniques, you’ll produce high-quality artefacts including business cases, process maps and requirements documents. Assessing current capabilities, explore market options and make clear, cost-effective recommendations. The role also involves facilitating workshops, managing engagement across multiple departments and supporting up to 10 projects per year, typically leading 3–4 concurrently through discovery, planning and analysis phases.
