Its big-scale stuff and we're still growing.TEAMReporting to the Group Chief Accountant, the Finance Manager - Group Financial Reporting role sits within the Group Financial Reporting (GFR) team, who are responsible for all Corporate Financial Reporting for the Group. Internally, the GFR team are accountable for monthly Group management accounts, managing the month end close and CFO sign-off, producing monthly CFO reporting and AMB (Airline Management Board) and Plc performance reports. Externally the team deliver the Group Annual Report and Accounts (ARA) and half year disclosures working closely with Investor Relations, Company Secretariat and our 3 rd party design agency. The team maintain the Group's accounting policies and are responsible for technical accounting advice and judgements. As a relatively new development, the Group Reporting team is also taking the lead on co-ordinating Non-Financial Reporting to ensure compliance with the new regulations coming into effect in this area, notably CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive). The GFR team are also responsible for easyJet's relationship with the company auditors, oversight of the Group balance sheet and are the functional owners of easyJet's Finance GL ERP.JOB PURPOSEThe Finance Manager - Group Financial Reporting is responsible for the production of easyJet's Group statutory reporting, Group statutory cash flow and monthly Plc performance reporting. The role owns the full production of the financial statements section of the Annual Report and Interim Report (back half) and co-ordinates across the easyJet finance teams & business colleagues to deliver high-quality 'fair, balanced and understandable' external financial reporting. Key to the success of this role is a focus on quality output, financial integrity, and insightful commentary. The role works alongside other GFR Finance Managers and supports the overall team output as required.JOB ACCOUNTABILITIESMonth end> Ownership for the delivery of monthly CEO report and Plc board reporting packs; preparation of packs and robust peer review to ensure insightful commentary> Production of month end analysis and commentary on cash position and net debt> Support of month end delivery as required for the GFR teamHalf year and annual reporting> Prepare "back half" of the Annual Report and the Interim Report and ensure compliance with easyJet's accounting policies and accounting standards; project manage the process across easyJet Finance and work in tandem with 'front half' production. Liaise with Company Secretary and Investor Relations teams> Responsible for producing the interim and year end statutory cash flow (moving to quarterly) and working with the FP&A team to establish and report monthly cash flow reporting requirements> Production of key subsidiary statutory accounts and support for bond financing programmes> Act as first point of contact for auditor queries, resolving where appropriate> Benchmark external reporting against best practice and comparator group> Accountable for ONS report submissionOther> Hold the key relationship for the GFR Team with Treasury, Tax, Sustainability and Fixed Asset teams> Engagement on other key projects as required (e.g. Group Reporting engagement in M&A projects)> Assist with preparing for the new sustainability standards (IFRS S1 and S2) and supporting the Sustainability team with reporting for the Annual Report and AccountsContinuous improvement, Communication and Financial Control> Supports the robustness of the internal financial control environment; working with Finance SME's to ensure controls are robust> Supports re-engineering and driving standardisation across key processes> Collaborates with Finance SMEs and business teams across easyJet to implement relevant improvements and other measurements to assist in improving the statutory accounting and monthly close processes, for example removing manual work from statutory process and leveraging systems capability> Participate in other projects as requiredThis is a senior role and as such there is a large degree of self-management. Understands business and external environment, is cost conscious and understands the longer-term perspective and implications of decisions.KEY SKILLS REQUIREDEssentialProfessional Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant post qualification experience Significant prior experience and involvement in the annual report preparation process, including the production of financial statements, notes and disclosures (IFRS or FRS101 basis) Ability to build relationships and influence that enable challenge to stakeholder inputs and holding to account for the integrity of the accounting submissions Experience of working in a control-led environment Proven ability to digest, interpret and apply accounting policies and standards Able to communicate at all levels up to Plc Board Able to take a flexible approach in a dynamic environment to meet tight deadlines and provide support across the wider team Proven record of having a strong attention to detail in ensuring the accuracy of the financial accounts and supporting ledgers Ability to find problems, formulate solutions and drive change.
