Senior Planner - Major Projects - Old Oak Common, London1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants About The Role Balfour Beatty has an exceptional opportunity for aSenior Plannerto join our Major Projects team at the iconicOld Oak Common development in London . HS2's new c. £1 billion Old Oak Common station will become the UK’s best-connected rail station upon completion. Our joint venture with VINCI SYTRA will be responsible for the final design, construction, and commissioning of the station in Northwest London. Upon completion, the station will feature six underground platforms and up to eight platforms on the adjacent Great Western Main Line, providing high-speed rail services to the Midlands, central London, Scotland, and the North, as well as direct services to three major airports. The station will include passenger and retail facilities, ensuring an exceptional customer experience. As aSenior Planner , you will initially work on the Public Realm packages, including landscaping, drainage, architectural metalwork, tree planting, and lighting. You will also handle procurement and tender review for subcontract packages during the fit-out stage. Key Responsibilities: Produce plans and programmes for submission and reporting Manage Rail Systems interfaces and MEP scope interfaces Process mapping of works considering system and geographical constraints Support Test & Commission programming Analyze and optimize labour resources and histograms Present and disseminate project programme philosophy and strategy Requirements: Proficient in planning software (P6 and others) Experience as a planner in the infrastructure sector Strong knowledge of NEC contract management Experience with MEP systems Engineering HNC or equivalent qualification Join us to shape the future of UK rail.
