Your background will enable you to bring subject matter expertise to the security aspects of all strategic projects.Your responsibilities will include:Core ownership for planning and execution of security elements of strategic projects.Deliver effective security solutions in a timely manner.Provide advisory and consultancy services to support business goals.Ensure solutions are scalable and portable across the business.Support security risk assessments and problem mitigation.Provide technical consultancy on third-party and vendor involvement.Develop expertise in various subject matter areas.Champion future-proofing, threat mitigation, and continuous innovation in practices, tools, and technology.Qualifications and skills required:Relevant enterprise security advisory experience.Proven track record as a technical security subject matter expert (e.g., Security Architect, Security Project Lead, Technical Expert, DevSecOps).Technical knowledge of enterprise, distributed systems, and cloud technologies.Strong understanding of information security risk management and best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.Effective stakeholder management skills.Desirable certifications: CISSP, CISM, PenTest (CEH, GIAC).Understanding of risk-driven architecture frameworks such as SABSA, SANS.Exposure to DevSecOps is highly desirable.Additional information:This role is not GRC or SOC-focused; it is more aligned with a Security Engineer progressing to a broader role involving multiple projects, influencing tool or partner selection, design, and stakeholder engagement.Onsite presence required 3 days a week; suitable locations include Bolton, Bristol, Tunbridge Wells, or Redhill.Note: No sponsorship support available at this time.Reward: Salary ranges from £70,000 to £80,000, plus performance bonuses, pension, private medical, and other employee benefits.
