With a newly acquired UK AOC Ascend Airways are operating a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft (NG and MAX) in the ACMI market, opening its first operational base at London Gatwick in early 2024. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Safety Manager will be the unique focal point for development, administration, and maintenance of the safety aspects of the Ascend Airways Safety Management System (SMS) across the AOC and CAMO. This role will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements. Requirements: Unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom UK/ EASA Class One medical certificate without restrictions (other than for spectacles/contact lenses) Willing to maintain a home address within 90 minutes travelling time of London Gatwick UK CAA ATPL(A) or (f)ATPL(A) with Boeing 737 type rating either current or expired by no more than two years A minimum of1,500hours in total with either: 500 hours on B737 or 1000 hours Captain in any multi pilot Commercial Air Transport operation 500 hours on B737 or 1000 hours Captain in any multi pilot Commercial Air Transport operation Salary & Remunerations: £13.30 flight pay per block hour Per diems while away from base A minimum of 10 days off per month 42 days annual leave A maximum of eight days’ leave between 1 June and 15 September Parking at your base paid by the Company.
