LDH have over 65 years’ experience supplying the major UK supermarkets and is recognised as the leading own label supplier of a wide range of ambient foods, sourced from every corner of the world. We are looking for an experienced Packaging Technologist to join our dedicated Technical team, where you will be instrumental in supporting the production of packaging specific to customer requirements. Job Summary: To ensure that all product packaging is safe, legal and meets agreed quality criteria within the technical specification. Project management including running of the weekly customer project meetings. To provide some administrative support to the Technical Managers. To self manage the completion of tasks to ensure the accurate reporting and compliance to all customer packaging requirements. To ensure all artwork meets the pack copy brief. Involvement in company wide packaging improvement/reduction projects. To build successful relationships with customers; suppliers; artwork houses; printers. To provide support to colleagues within the Technical function. Trafficking of artwork between customer and suppliers to ensure projects adhere to critical path. Creation of artwork and use of software, if applicable, for tertiary brands. The ordering of packaging for rework jobs and liaison with Supply Chain, as necessary. Management of the packaging One Drive system for allocated customers. Review of all packaging post launch and address and improvements required. Maintenance of packaging specifications. Completion of annual customer packaging waste requests. To contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of the LDH Quality Management System. Key Accountabilities: To ensure that the production of packaging is carried out within the timescales agreed with the customer To liaise with key contacts for all accounts to ensure the swiftest possible delivery of artwork etc. To effectively run and communicate outputs from project meetings and manage the critical path. To accurately process transactions onto spreadsheets and One Drive databases.
