Together, we can achieve great things and make a lasting impact.What you'll do:Provide technical support to sales, including torque calculation sign-off, technical reviews, specification reviews, and product ordering support. Lead technical reviews on project designs. Take ownership of specialist and bespoke design projects. Implement R&D design and testing for expanding and proving the product range and new designs. Research new technologies and processes. Ensure engineering compliance is maintained. Develop and utilize new skills and knowledge across the business. Complete failure analysis investigations and produce reports. Support valve sizing and selection activities. Interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and present information effectively. Select suitable materials for various applications.Ongoing development and extension of Severn’s product range, including introducing innovative concepts.What you'll need: Essential: Degree in Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical and professional materials. Proficiency with CAD software such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD. Problem-solving skills dealing with variable situations with limited standardization.Desirable: Knowledge of industry standards like ASME B16.34, API 6A, ISA 70.01.01, ISO 60534, Pressure Equipment Directive. Knowledge of control valve and instrumentation design, selection, and application.
