Join us as our Transport Supervisor! You will be responsible for managing and coordinating transport activities to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods. Hours of work:Monday - Friday, with rotating early/late shifts from 05:30 - 13:30 and 11:00 - 19:00, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays. Additional hours/shifts may be required. Key responsibilities: Assist in the daily running of the Transport operation by completing all administrative and legislative tasks required to maintain performance. Liaise with other departments to communicate delayed departures and deliveries. Ensure operational security requirements are adhered to, including vehicle keys, phones, and fuel cards. Input statistical information for reports. Engage with customers to provide updates, resolve queries, or give pre-delivery information. Manage tachograph records. Promote good driver behaviors using tools like telematics. Conduct investigations promptly. Manage vehicle defects via the VOR process. Participate in recruitment, training, and coaching of colleagues. Manage sickness absence records and RTW interviews. Support administrative tasks as needed. What you will bring: Attention to detail and accuracy. Experience in a transport or busy operational environment. Good organizational and prioritization skills. Excellent communication skills at all levels. Understanding of drivers' working time directives and EU regulations. Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude. Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of distribution/transport systems is advantageous. CPC holder. Experience working with unions.
