Behaviour Mentor – SEMH Support in Secondary Schools Location: Ruberey Pay: Competitive (dependent on experience and role responsibilities) Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:15am–3:45pm (term time only) Do you have experience working with young people ineducation, support work, orpastoral care? Are you confident in managing challenging behaviour and passionate about promotingpositive mental healthandstudent wellbeing? Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with several secondaryschools across Birminghamto provide targeted SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) support for pupils inKey Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. We are looking for dedicated, resilient individuals to join school teams asBehaviour Mentors. About the Role: As a Behaviour Mentor, you will: Work closely with pupils on a1:1 basis or in small groupsto manage behaviour and promote emotional wellbeing Support students withSEMH and SENneeds, encouraging positive engagement and consistent school attendance Play an active role inpastoral care, helping pupils develop coping strategies and build confidence Attend regular review meetings to track and support academic and personal progress Help create asafe, structured and supportive learning environment Who We’re Looking For: Experience inSEND, youth work, support work, sports coaching, or childcare Strongbehaviour managementskills and a calm, confident approach A clear and up-to-dateEnhanced DBS(or willingness to apply – we can assist) Team Teachor other de-escalation training is beneficial (but not essential) Reliable, committed, and able to build strong professional relationships with pupils and staff Why This Role?
