We hold 50+ years of experience and have a worldwide workforce of over 20,000 people.The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London’s state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works.The role will be working at the site in Old Oak Common Station in Acton (West London) at least 3 days a week.Job Description:As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have knowledge and experience in pre and post-contract management and procurement within the UK rail sector. The senior quantity surveyor will be expected to utilise their major project experience and knowledge to drive efficiencies and effective supply chain engagement.Role Responsibilities:NEC3/4 Option C Contract management and administrationEstablish and manage entitlement, with key focus on gaining full entitlement under the terms of the SubcontractThe quantity surveyor will lead the review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlementManaging Subcontractors' AccountsLiaison and negotiation with the Customer’s Commercial and/or project teamEstablishing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholdersEnsure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issuesInvestigate and draft contract communications and notices including Early Warning Notices, notification of Compensation Events, General CommunicationsProvide contractual and commercial risk advice to the Commercial team and wider Technical and Construction Delivery teamsManage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolio of worksSupport the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rulesYou must have right to work in the UK.Qualifications:Educated to degree levelMain contractor and/or joint venture experienceExperienced administering NEC3/4 contracts (A/C/E must have). Use of CEMAR is desirableExperienced in leading the full range of contract management activities including evaluation/assessment of high value Compensation EventsAbility to lead on project financial monitoring and reportingExperienced in proactive change and risk managementExperienced in negotiating and procuring sub-contract packages (Design-Delivery-Commission), testing the robustness of costs and value for moneyExperience of working within a collaborative culture or/ and a mature approach to relationship management with a long-term strategic focusAble to prioritise the delivery of the objectives of their roleAbility to performance manage and hold to accountExperience in managing and developing assistant and intermediate-level commercial team membersDiversity & Inclusion:We are an Equal Opportunities employer and we strive to build a workforce that truly reflects the communities we represent.
