The Role As Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding our relationship with key Chinese e-commerce clients. You will act as the bridge between our operational teams, the client’s China-based and UK-based personnel, and our leadership team. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day service performance, client communications, process optimisation, and supporting commercial expansion across the UK and international markets. You’ll be hands-on, solution-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. With the majority of the client’s team speaking only Mandarin, your bilingual skills will be essential to ensuring seamless communication and world-class service delivery. Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management: Act as the main operational contact for the Chinese e-commerce clients, managing daily interactions and ensuring exceptional service standards. Service Performance: Oversee delivery performance, SLA adherence, and continuous improvement of operational processes. Bilingual Communication: Communicate fluently in Mandarin and English with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring cultural and operational alignment. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Operations, COO, CRO, FD and tech support to execute growth initiatives and resolve challenges swiftly. Account Growth Support: Support strategic planning and commercial expansion of the account in the UK and internationally, identifying opportunities to scale services. Reporting & Insights: Monitor performance metrics, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and drive data-driven decision-making for the account. Stakeholder Training & Support: Help onboard and educate both client personnel and internal teams on processes, technology tools, and service expectations. What We’re Looking For Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (verbal and written)3-5 years of experience in logistics, transport, supply chain, or parcel delivery operations Proven experience managing large or complex customer accounts Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a startup mindset Analytical thinking with a hands-on approach to problem-solving Experience working with Chinese businesses or within the Asia-Europe logistics corridor is a strong plus Why Join Us?
