As a Hire Controller at a leading equipment rental provider, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service. You will be the first point of contact for customers, building strong relationships and supporting them through the entire hire journey - from initial enquiry to off-hire and feedback. Your focus will be on understanding the customer's needs, offering solutions, upselling when appropriate, and ensuring a smooth and professional service every time.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle inbound hire enquiries via phone, email, and websiteProcess orders from enquiry through to post-hire feedbackDevelop strong, long-term relationships with customersMaximise hire and upsell opportunities through product knowledgeLiaise with internal teams to coordinate deliveries and collectionsUse your initiative to resolve issues quickly and efficientlyMaintain accurate records and uphold high standards of serviceAbout YouPrevious experience in a customer service or sales support roleExperience handling inbound orders or enquiriesIndustry knowledge in equipment hire or construction is desirable, but not essentialStrong communication, influencing and relationship-building skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamA proactive and adaptable mindset, comfortable handling multiple prioritiesConfident using MS Office and eager to learn new systemsA drive for continuous improvement and delivering a great customer experienceAbout the CompanyThis role is within a leading national equipment rental company serving sectors such as construction, infrastructure, industrial, and events.
