Senior Buyer – Impulse North LondonSalary £55,000 - £65,000This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Buyer / Senior Buyer to join a well-established food & beverage retailer brand based within their London Head office. As a Senior Buyer you will report into the Head of Buying and be responsible finding and developing the impulse category ensuring products achieve both quality levels whilst maintaining commercial targets. Additional responsibilities will include: Manage the full the end-to-end procurement process including market research, competitive pricing, supplier selection and negotiation, contract implementation and supplier performance reviews.Dealing and resolving escalated supplier queries.Responsible for managing the full branded impulse category.Continually review contracts, and benchmark, tender, re-negotiate and execute contracts/agreements with suppliers to improve quality, service, and cost efficiency.Continually monitoring dairy procurement success criteria to track departmental performance.Liaising with the various internal departments including Production, NPD, Finance, Technical, Sales and Operations teams to ensure a smooth running of the procurement processes.Analysing departmental figures & creating reports for the management teamPresenting reports, figures, and key information to the Senior Management teamKey requirements for the role.Proven food buying experience preferably impulse categoriesExperience with fast paced, Retail / FMCG environment is essential.Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise & influence effectively at all levels.Strong attention to detail with an analytical approach.Excellent understanding of all MS Office products including advanced Excel.If you think you have the right Procurement / Buying experience and want to be given the opportunity to advance your career, then get in touch and apply today.
