Lead Data Architect Manchester (Hybrid) Up to £75,000 DOE + BenefitsAn established digital consultancy is hiring a Lead Data Architect to design secure, scalable, user-centred data solutions for clients across the public and private sector.You’ll work in multi-disciplinary agile teams to deliver cloud-native architectures that unlock real business insight – and contribute to the governance, modelling and strategy that keeps data meaningful and accessible.What you’ll be doing:Define and implement data architectures aligned with enterprise strategyBuild and maintain key artefacts: ER models, data dictionaries, pipeline/lineage modelsOwn architecture decisions and guide clients through change approval processesChampion governance and modelling standards (Kimball, warehousing best practices)Analyse source data, evaluate APIs, reverse-engineer data modelsWork closely with engineers to deliver cloud-based data solutionsVisualise insights via tools like Power BI or TableauSupport integration testing and third-party specificationsWhat you’ll bring:Strong background in data architecture and cloud platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks)Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCPExcellent SQL and data modelling skills (data lakes, warehousing, OLTP/OLAP)Experience with access control, data migration and data governanceProficient in reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) and evaluation tools (Postman)Consultancy experience highly desirableWhat’s on offer:£75,000–£85,000 base (DOE)25 days holiday + public holidays6% pension (employee contributes 2%)Private health/dental optionsLife assurance, critical illness coverElectric vehicle scheme & cycle-to-workSeason ticket loan & Perkbox discountsFlexible benefits package & wellbeing supportRelocation support up to £8k if neededDiversity & InclusionApplicants from all backgrounds are welcome.
