This role requires a creative individual with strong technical knowledge of knitwear, along with the ability to manage client relationships and provide strategic direction for orders without handling every operational detail.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop knitwear collections based on seasonal trends and client requirementsCreate mood boards, colour palettes, and technical sketchesSelect appropriate yarns, stitches, and techniques to achieve the desired aesthetics and functionalityOversee sampling and collaborate with factories to ensure production feasibilityResearch market trends and innovations to enhance product offeringsProvide strategic direction on orders and ensure smooth coordination between design, production, and merchandising teamsRequirements:Experience: 4+ years knitwear designStrong knowledge of yarns, knitting techniques, pattern making and garment constructionSoftware Proficiency: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design toolsUnderstanding of knitwear trends and manufacturing processes
