Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer – AutomationLocation: High WycombeSalary: £40-60kClearance: Only UK nationals will be considered for this position.About Us:Copello have partnered with a dynamic and innovative aerospace company at the forefront of advanced manufacturing. They are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer – Automation who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about automation and continuous improvement.The Role:As a Manufacturing Engineer – Automation, you will play a key role in driving automation and process improvements across our production lines. You’ll work closely with production teams to identify opportunities for automation, resolve faults, and ensure our equipment and systems run at peak efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Support and develop manufacturing automation systems, with a focus on PLC programming and integrationDiagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults and ensure timely resolutionsWork hands-on with both electrical and mechanical systems in a fast-paced production environmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvementsIdentify and support robotic solutions where appropriateProvide technical support to shop floor teams and operatorsWhat We’re Looking For:Proven experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of PLC systems (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)Hands-on experience with fault finding and maintaining manufacturing equipmentBackground in either mechanical or electrical engineeringExperience with robotics and automation systems is highly desirableA proactive, problem-solving attitude and a passion for engineeringDesirable Qualifications (not essential):Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, NVQ, or similar industry-recognised qualification in engineering or automationWhy Join Us?Work on cutting-edge aerospace projectsBe part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and practical problem-solvingOpportunities for professional growth and further trainingSupportive and inclusive work environmentIf you're a hands-on engineer who’s passionate about automation and wants to make a tangible impact in aerospace manufacturing, we’d love to hear from you.
