Role:SEND Teaching AssistantLocation:New MaldenPay rate:Up to £650 per weekContract:Monday to Friday (8:30am - 4:00pm)Start date:September 2025Horizon Teachers are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their SEN Team and support on a 1:1 basis with children who are on the Autism spectrum and who may also have an additional diagnosis of ADHD.This role will include supporting on a 1:1 basis inside and outside of the classroom, supporting the students academically and pastorally and may contain with feeding, and personal care.Key responsibilities:To work under the direction and guidance of the SENCO to remove barriers to learning for an individual pupil in or out of the classroom To support safe travel around the site and to ensure personal needs are met To use specialist skills/training to support students to make progress in their learning and in their personal and social development To support the social and emotional wellbeing of the individual student To monitor students' responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed by SENCO To support students to catch up learning following any absence To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to the SEND code of practice, Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) Wh...
