We want to hear from those who feel ready to progress from B5 - B6, or newly qualified OT’s with potential to develop to a permanent B6 within 12 months of employment, pending upon successful completion of the developmental plan.Our Preceptorship programmes offer you the opportunity to consolidate your knowledge and core skills as an OT while extending your confidence scope of practice in a safe and supportive work environment. You will be offered regular shadowing, networking and supervision from OTs and within the team as part of your development journey. You will have regular meetings and supervision with a senior member of the OT team, who will support you with the progression of your development plan.Main duties of the jobYou will have an OT-specific caseload, consisting of assessment, groupwork and individual interventions as well as contributing towards our Community Psychosocial Therapies offer with our Psychology colleagues. The post will offer an additional support programme to develop the post holder to become a safe and effective community mental health OT.The post holder will be supported to develop the skills to be ready to move into a B6 OT position.The support programme will provide the following:Work-based support 'supervision. Additional support from the CNWL Education Team. Access to a Preceptorship programme monthly supervision sessions to support role development. Programme content 'skills: Coaching, risk assessment/management, assessment, safety planning, suicide prevention, relapse prevention, report writing, working with families/carers and psychological interventions.The appointee will be appointed to a B5 fixed-term post for a period of 12 months.
