The role Be at the forefront of an exciting transformation at one of the world's most iconic historic and scientific landmarks. As Exhibitions Project Manager (Galleries), you’ll play a pivotal role in First Light - an ambitious capital project set to reinvent the Royal Observatory Greenwich for a new generation. With the launch scheduled for spring/summer 2028, this major redevelopment will deliver a dynamic suite of permanent and semi-permanent exhibitions across the north of the Observatory site, designed to engage fresh audiences and illuminate the Observatory’s enduring relevance. In this delivery-focused role, you’ll take the lead on museum exhibition processes to deliver exhibitions across the north of the Observatory site - bringing world-class displays to life at the Observatory by 2028. You'll also spearhead key cross-site initiatives such as the access and tactile strategy, while supporting the Senior Exhibitions Project Manager on innovative projects like a new mobile content app. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of this historic site. We are looking for a confident and experienced individual to join this team, working alongside colleagues to oversee the management of a range of different projects across the Royal Observatory site. You’ll manage processes including content development and text-writing, as well as client duties relating to exhibition design, build, installation and post-opening maintenance. You’ll take responsibility for the overall delivery of your projects and will be expected to develop strong working relationships and collaborate closely with colleagues from across the Museum to ensure our displays deliver high quality and engaging content. This is a fixed-term role for 3 years or upon completion of First Light in Band 4 - Senior Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36 per week, working Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, with an additional hour to be worked as agreed upon with management.
