About the Role As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for performance and improvement of high-quality waste collection and street cleansing services. You will lead a large workforce, drive performance improvements, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, while fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and professionalism. You will: Lead and manage the delivery of waste collection and street cleansing services. Monitor and improve service performance using data-driven approaches. Ensure compliance with current and emerging legislation. Build strong relationships with internal teams, elected members, and external stakeholders. Promote a culture of safety, communication, and continuous improvement. We are looking for someone with: A strong understanding of current and future legislation related to waste collection and street cleansing. Proven ability to foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and professionalism. Skilled in analysing data, monitoring performance, and implementing corrective actions. Comfortable working in complex, political environments. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Strong communication skills across all levels of an organisation. Proficient in IT with the ability to quickly learn new systems. Significant experience in a management or senior management role within waste collection or street cleansing. Demonstrated ability to manage large operational teams effectively. Experience using data and evidence to drive service improvements.
