Our fabulous Beeswing team are on the lookout for compassionate and creative individuals with a positive attitude to join us as Support Practitioners.This is a part-time position, consisting of 30 hours per week.You do not need prior experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit based on values and transferable skills. We will provide all the necessary training, including a fully funded SVQ.Due to the needs of the service, we can only accept applications from female candidates who hold a valid driving license and have access to their own car.The Role As a Support Practitioner, you will assist individuals living in their own homes with disabilities and/or additional support needs in all aspects of their daily lives. This includes support with medication and finances, housework, meal preparation, cooking, and personal care.The individuals we support have a variety of hobbies, and we encourage you to take an active interest in them. Activities may include going out for a meal, catching a movie, attending a gym session, or participating in group activities.To be part of our team, you should:Have an empathetic and caring nature.Possess good observation skills.Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Be confident in using computers.Work well both independently and in a team.Have good organizational skills.Shift Patterns Our dedicated team provides 24/7 support tailored to individual needs. Depending on shift length, you may support more than one individual, with travel time factored into hours. Shifts include early, late, and sleepover shifts, starting at 9 am and ending at 9 am the following day, with sleep periods between 11 pm and 7 am.
