Base pay rangeCome and be part of the future of engineering and maintenance operations within Biffa.Location: Edmonton - North LondonSalary: £54,715 per annumHours of work: 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights and 4 off). 6am/6pm - 6pm/6am.A quick look at the roleThe Shift Engineering Supervisor will supervise and lead the shift team of maintenance technicians to effectively and efficiently respond to all operational engineering needs and prioritising the work load to reduce operational downtime. To lead and develop the maintenance team and ensure health and safety requirements are always considered and executed.Your Core ResponsibilitiesSupervise a shift team of multi-skilled technicians and contractors to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and ensure work is carried out to the standard required Support the Engineering Supervisor in the development of other team members skills and abilities Prioritise work on the plant and machinery to meet operational needs and maximise plant uptime Carry out problem solving activities on the plant and machinery to identify faults and rectify them Carry out maintenance, both preventative and breakdown, on all equipment on the site to reduce operational down timeRequirementsOur essential requirements.Engineering qualifications NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Managing or leading a team of Engineers Desirable - Additional relevant qualifications The following job titles that would be considered for this role would be Lead Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, Technical Lead, Maintenance Manager, Plant Maintenance Supervisor, Production Engineering Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Process Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor, Mechanical Supervisor, Facilities Engineering Supervisor, Civil Engineering Supervisor, Project Engineering Supervisor, Process Engineering Lead, Shift Supervisor, Engineering Foreman, Engineering CoordinatorWe invest in you.Senior engineers in Biffa have developed their careers and been promoted within the business.
