We’re looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Finance team and support tonies in its next stage of growth by supporting the business on financial performance activities and providing analysis. You will be a great communicator, with excellent organisation and analytical skills.You will be a fundamental part of the wider finance team and help to drive the success of both finance and tonies in achieving its ambitious goals. We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated, talented individual to help scale tonies! You’ll be working closely with the Senior Finance Manager to oversee the day to day operations of the UK finance team and take ownership of key finance processes, financial reporting and systems. If you’re motivated by using your strong finance insight and experience to drive the success of the finance team and impact of the business, then read on! Your responsibilities: Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including full P&L, Balance Sheet and Fixed Asset reporting Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements Prepare detailed monthly variance analysis comparing actuals to budget and forecast Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice processing and payment runs Oversee the staff expense process via Spendesk Manage the Credit control function, including preparation of detailed weekly receivables reports and liaising with customers Perform bookkeeping tasks, including invoice coding and transaction posting Processing standard month-end journals, including fixed assets, prepayments and accruals. Assist in the preparation of UK and Ireland VAT returns Monitor stock movements and reconcile stock positions Post intercompany transactions and ensure timely Intercompany reconciliations by working closely with our parent company Manage monthly Revenue postings including invoices and credit notes. Review revenue related controls to ensure accuracy and compliance Support the year-end audit process Are you our perfect new colleague? You will ideally hold a finance qualification A strong understanding of double entry accounting is essential for this role Strong presentation and communication skills to both finance and non-finance teams Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines You take initiative and enjoy improving processes, not just following them Strong knowledge of core financial principles, including; accounting standards, tax regulations and current business environments You’re a wiz with spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and familiar with ERP Systems (e.g. Microsoft Business Central, SAP) Experience preparing monthly management accounts and bookkeeping Excited to work in a fast-paced high-growth environment A natural problem solver who takes ownership and delivers results Self motivated and passionate about developing a long term careers in finance What’s in it for you Flexibility– Hybrid working with two days in the London office, up to 30 days working abroad, and Summer Hours (June-August).. ️Time Away– 30 days annual leave + bank holidays, 3 Wellbeing Days, paid sick leave, bereavement leave, volunteering day plus bank holiday swaps and more.
