(Hybrid workingavailable)ClosingDate: Tuesday 9th September2025As a Natural EnvironmentResearch Council (NERC) Programme Manager, you will engage with theacademic community, business, and policy makers to help maintainthe UKs leadership in environmental research and innovation, bothnationally and internationally. You will contribute to thedevelopment and delivery of NERC and UK Research and Innovation(UKRI) investments aligned with NERCs strategic delivery plan,demonstrating a strong aptitude for programme delivery across areassuch as research funding competition management and post-awardmonitoring.Keyactivities:Supportingthe development and management of a portfolio of investment inresearch, innovation and postgraduate training within NERCspriorities.Take responsibility for the peerreview and panel assessment of proposals for funding, by: selectingappropriate reviewers and panels members, acting as secretariat forthe associated assessment panel meetings; ensure appropriate andtimely communications at all times with those involved; promotinggood decision making through equality, diversity and fairness infunding opportunities.Carry out activemanagement of funded research, through specific programmeactivities, e.g. monitoring programme budgets; organising programmemeetings and communications; preparing papers, reports andbriefings; maintainingwebpages.Engagement with communities andstakeholders in the UK and internationally.
