Ward 5 is a 38-bedded short stay unit caring for acutely unwell patients from various specialties. We are seeking a dynamic, professional, and personable healthcare assistant to join our team. As a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW), you will support our clinical teams by providing patient care. Your daily tasks will vary and include assisting with patient needs and working alongside the team. Examples of your responsibilities include: Performing general and clinical observations, reporting any concerns to registered nurses. Recording blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration. Monitoring oxygen saturation. Washing and dressing patients. Serving meals and assisting with feeding. Helping patients move. Making beds. Communicating with patients and families. Monitoring patient conditions. Skills and personal attributes needed: Caring, kind, cheerful, and friendly. Keen to support patients with personal needs. Ability to follow instructions. Team player with initiative. Good listening and communication skills. Well-organized. Qualifications and experience required: NVQ Level 2/3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience. Care Certificate (not online).
