We are recruiting for a1:1 Autism Support Assistantto work full-time in amainstream primary school in Cwmbran , startingSeptember 2025 . This rewarding role involves supporting a pupil with ASD throughout the school day to help them feel safe, included, and successful in their learning. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with autism within a mainstream classroom. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Assisting the pupil with learning tasks, transitions, and classroom routinesImplementing individual support strategies, including visual aids and sensory toolsPromoting emotional regulation and positive behaviourWorking closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and therapistsCreating a calm, structured, and inclusive environmentThis is an excellent opportunity to build strong relationships and make a lasting difference in one child's educational journey.
