The Core Pathways Team is part of our multidisciplinaryservice providing specialist trauma-informed mental health care for children,young people and their families. We work closely with colleagues across theservice, including our Assessment and Brief Intervention Team, Crisis and Home-BasedTreatment Team, Child in Care pathway and Eating Disorder Team. Youwill be a member of a skilled and compassionate team offering evidence-based assessmentand therapeutic interventions to young people and their families who face arange of mental health needs, neurodiversity and systemic challenges. This willalso involve working with partner agencies. Main duties of the jobYou will work directly with childrenand young people up to the age of 18 and have positive outcomes which arerecovery focussed. Being able to manage risk and complexity is essentialalongside a calm, resilient and professional manner which supports andadvocates engagement with the young person and the systems around them. Thiswill include: Delivering robust assessments, formulationsand evidence-based interventions Using a range of therapeutic approaches,tailored to each individual Fostering creative, engaging therapeuticrelationships Providing supervision and consultation acrossthe multidisciplinary team Participating in MDTs, inter-agency meetings,and service development Good Interpersonal and communicationskills are an essential part of this role, needing to adapt these to meet awide variety of need. Appropriate safeguarding training. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist. CAMHS SENIOR MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER Relevant professional qualification, e.g. nursing, or other professional allied to medicine. Post qualification training in identified portfolio, e.g. LD. LAC, eating disorder. Dip SW or relevant mental health profession. A teaching and assessing qualification. Membership of professional body. CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST 2:1 min. Eligible for chartered status. CAMHS SENIOR MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER Post graduate qualification in mental health (e.g. CBT, Family Therapy, Counselling). ExperienceCLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST Completion of supervised clinical practice in the NHS. Ability to work within two models of psychological assessment, formulation and intervention. CAMHS SENIOR MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER Experience of delivering training to others. Substantial post qualification experience, some of which must be working with Children, young people and their carers in a mental health or other complex care setting.
