Person specificationEducation and training- Full GMC registration, licence to practice and specialist registration in ENT (or eligible for or within 6 months of eligibility for) - Primary medical degree - CCT or within 6 months of CCT (or equivalent) - Higher Degree e.g. MSc - DCH, DCCH, MBA or other relevant diplomas - Teaching qualification Experience- Wide experience of the specialty sufficient to enable safe independent specialist ENT expertise and practice - Evidence of having completed a clinical fellowship in paediatric otolaryngology - Evidence of subspecialist interest in paediatric head and neck and thyroid surgery - Demonstration of research experience (publications in peer reviewed journals, presentations at national and international meetings) - Evidence of ability to work with surgical MDT colleagues, in particular Adult Thyroid Surgeons Skills- Teaching skills and experience - Ability to supervise the clinical work of doctors in training and other staff - Oral and written communication skills in English - Ability to organise and prioritise personal workload and that of others. - Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with staff at all levels of the organisation.
