Base pay rangePayroll Administrator UCS Senior School Contract:Permanent, Part-time (21 hours per week) About UCS Senior School UCS Senior School is a prestigious London day school committed to excellence in education and staff welfare. We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic HR team and play a key role in supporting the smooth running of payroll and pension processes for our staff and contractors. The HR department provides a full range of HR services to the whole Foundation, covering recruitment, learning and development, employee relations, pay and benefits and employment policy and planning. The department is responsible for pre-vetting all employees and contractors on site in regulated activity, working closely with the School’s senior managers. Your Role: This exciting position offers the chance to manage payroll for around 400 staff members at UCS. As part of the HR team, you will work directly with the Senior HR Advisor and have a direct impact on the accuracy and efficiency of payroll operations. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Processing: Accurately enter employee timesheets and resolve any discrepancies with managers or staff. Process HR-related changes affecting payroll, such as new starters, leavers, salary adjustments, and benefit modifications. Prepare and run payroll reports for the HR Team and Senior Leadership. Work closely with HR Administrators to ensure accurate and timely HR changes each month. Pension Administration: Conduct monthly pension assessments through Royal London, ensuring full compliance with Auto-Enrolment regulations. Payroll Filing: Maintain accurate filing of all payroll documents and records. Annual Tasks: Assist the Senior HR Advisor with annual tasks such as tax year-end, P11Ds, Gender Pay Gap reporting, and financial audits. Data Management: Keep accurate employee payroll data and records in line with data protection policies and school guidelines. Staff Support: Provide excellent customer service to staff, acting as the first point of contact for payroll and pension-related queries, while maintaining confidentiality. What We’re Looking For: A proactive individual with experience in payroll processing and pension administration. A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments.
