ROLE: Design Engineer LOCATION: Warwickshire TERM: Permanent SALARY: GBP 35,000 - GBP 50,000 per annum, dependent on experience My client is a manufacturer of specialist products and equipment for various sectors. They are looking for a Design Engineer to join their team in Warwickshire on a permanent basis. The Design Engineer Will Ideally Have The Following AttributesMinimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment Experience designing for the retail industry Experience with Joiner, Metalwork, or Plastics Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, etc. Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances Ability to work well independently and as part of a small multidisciplinary team Ability to perform mechanical calculations Experience with process machinery or steel/metal materials is desirable Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in MS Office Strong organizational and time management skills The Design Engineer Role Will InvolveCollaborating within the engineering team with other Design Engineers Creating 3D designs using SolidWorks and 2D designs with AutoCAD Liaising with manufacturing providers Participating in final assembly of products Preparing documentation for design, project reports, and plans Updating 3D models and drawings Inputting parts into the MRP system and creating BOMs Reviewing drawings for sign-off Working on varied projects within a small multidisciplinary team If interested, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible.
