Job Title:Logistics Solutions & Design Specialist Salary:£39,900 – £48,000 depending on experience Location:Desford, Leicestershire Contract: Full time & permanent The Opportunity As aLogistics Solutions & Design Specialist , you will implement and continuously improve all logistics processes to maximise efficiency and productivity. What you will do: As aLogistics Solutions & Design Specialist , you are accountable for, but not limited to: Applying process improvement tools and assisting with the implementation of efficient and competitive logistics solutions.Coordinating with operations functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements.Maintaining the internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools; Assuring their implementation in current and new operations.Evaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concerns.NB. What You Can Demonstrate: Level Basic Understanding: Lean Manufacturing:Understands lean manufacturing principles and can identify waste in processes. Able to reflect on real-life examples where lean methods were effective (or not) and explain the outcomes.Level Working Knowledge: Planning:Tactical, Strategic:Confident in creating and adapting work plans, managing projects, tracking progress, and solving issues proactively.Collaborating:Works well with others to solve problems and achieve shared goals. Encourages clear communication, supports team meetings, and promotes collaboration across different teams and functions.Layout & Process Design:Able to design and optimise warehouse or area layouts, improve flow, and make the best use of space. Comfortable using tools and methods to support layout planning and implementation.What You May Have: SAP Warehouse Management Systems (SAP WMS) : Has hands-on experience using SAP WMS in warehouse and logistics operations.
