We prioritize our people and aim to deliver exceptional service to BT.Our BT Workplace team manages building maintenance for 8,000 UK sites, including offices, telephone exchanges, call centres, and retail outlets.We foster innovative working methods aligned with our RISE values:Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence .The role:AC Engineer The primary responsibility of our AC Engineer is to support the Technical Supervisor and/or Area Operations Manager by delivering reactive and preventative maintenance on building systems, following established procedures and safety standards.Key responsibilities include:Maintaining refrigeration and air conditioning systems and performing PPM routines. Ensuring repairs and installations comply with regulations. Calibrating and maintaining test equipment to meet current standards. Conducting risk assessments for maintenance tasks to ensure safety. Diagnosing faults and repairing equipment using manuals and drawings. Completing and updating Site Log Books. Producing reports for the Technical Supervisor. Managing stock levels of spare parts. Participating in an Out of Hours Emergency Call Out service. Supporting the Control of Works as an Authorised Person. Collaborating with team members to meet operational objectives. Supporting health and safety policies. Overseeing activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards. Assisting in cost reduction initiatives within budgets. Person requirements include: Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training in air conditioning and refrigeration, with relevant practical and theoretical experience. Hold a City & Guilds 2079 Level 2 Award in F Gas and ODS Regulations: Category 1 or equivalent. Desirable qualifications: Level 3 NVQ diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent. Certifications in PASMA, IPAF, Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness, Confined Space Working, Roof Working.
