Buyer required for a Global Engineering and Manufacturing leader, with multiple worldwide locations employing 1000 + staff and is renowned for quality and innovative deliverables.The successful Buyer will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.Key Responsibilities of the Buyer will include:Manage a portfolio of commodities and suppliers, ensuring value for money and optimising supplier performance.Develop and represent the supply chain departmentProvide input and forecasts on supply relating to specific projectsIntroduce strategies to effectively manage current and future supply chainsConduct supplier evaluations including business reviews, supplier visits, contract and SLA reviews.Support business continuous improvement activitiesMaintain SAP and other databases are accurate at all timesFor the Buyer role, we are keen to receive CV’s from candidates who possess:Experience as a Category Buyer or other related roles within a technical manufacturing environmentSAP or Salesforce experienceAbility to negotiate skilfully with internal and external groupsExperience reading engineering drawingsCIPS/MCIPS preferred but not essentialSalary & Benefits:Up to £45,000 depending on experienceFlexible working hours37.5 hours per week25 Days annual leave + Bank holidaysCompany pension contributions of up to 8%Please be aware that many roles working for our client will be subject to both security and export control restrictions.
