What You''ll Be Owning As the new Technical Manager, youll take the lead on technical standards across our food, drink, and packaging ranges yes, even the scoops and shakers. You''ll ensure products meet internal and external requirements across the UK, EU, US, and Asia, all while collaborating with brilliant people from across the business. Youll report into the Raw Material Technical Manager, but youll have real ownership and autonomy from day one. What You''ll Be Doing Ingredient Compliance: Review all ingredient specs and supporting documents to ensure they meet internal standards (including microbiological criteria). Global Regulatory Oversight: Stay ahead of legislative changes across global markets and lead cross-functional projects to keep us compliant. Packaging Quality: Own packaging improvements that make a difference better performance, smoother manufacturing, fewer issues. Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with NPD, Procurement, and Planning to enhance sourcing strategies, improve ingredient quality, and reduce risks. Supplier Performance: Identify and resolve ingredient-related non-conformances, driving supplier accountability and continuous improvement. Manufacturing Support: Champion quality and efficiency improvements at our in-house facility and with our third-party manufacturing partners. Certification & Accreditation: Manage compliance with key external standards (Kosher, Halal, BRCGS, Coeliac Society, Non-GMO Project, Vegan Society) and support related audits. KPI & Quality Tracking: Monitor quarterly supplier KPIs to reduce complaints and elevate product quality. Audits & Site Visits: Lead supplier audits, ensuring they meet the standards expected of our brand. Technical Expertise: Be the go-to person for ingredient-related queries across the business What Youll Bring to the Table 23 years experience in a technical or quality role within the food & drink industry. Solid knowledge of food safety, quality systems, and regulatory frameworks. Some familiarity with global markets (UK, EU, US) is a plus but not a deal breaker. Exceptional organisational skills you know how to juggle competing priorities and keep projects on track. Strong communicator whos confident building relationships with suppliers, partners, and internal teams.
