Commercial Finance Analyst Location: Nottingham Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 Working Pattern: Extremely flexible hybrid model from 12 days a month up to 3 days a week in the office (your choice) Exclusive to Distinct Recruitment Were working exclusively on a newly created Commercial Finance Analyst role for a growing Nottingham-based business. Reporting into the FP&A Manager, this is a brilliant opportunity to join a high-performing, collaborative team thats driving real change across the organisation. This isnt a standard reporting role. Youll be a genuine business partner combining your finance knowledge with Power BI and Excel to turn complex data into commercial insight. If youre naturally curious, proactive, and confident working with non-finance teams, this ones for you. What youll be doing: Own MI reporting across the finance function, constantly improving data accuracy and relevance Use Power BI and Excel to build dashboards and visualise performance trends Partner closely with operational and commercial teams, offering financial insight and challenge Identify automation opportunities and drive improvements in reporting processes Support budgeting, forecasting, and wider planning activity What were looking for: Strong Power BI skills confident building reports and dashboards Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros) Part-qualified, finalist, or newly qualified (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) A strong communicator, able to translate financial insight into commercial action Comfortable working independently and taking initiative Whats in it for you? 5% salary flex benefit Private health and dental cover 3% matched pension 26 days annual leave bank holidays Full study support including exam fees and study leave Outstanding flexibility work from the office as little or as much as you like55b20050-bc17-4e5d-bfce-3c406318dffc
