Project ManagerFlexibility on the location - Home based with travel throughout Oxfordshire and SomersetPurpose of the jobTo provide leadership, direction and strategy at a competent level on one or a number of multi-disciplinary teams delivering projects such that the customer’s requirements are delivered and Nuvia’s performance and profit margins are met. Manage project start up and delivery and to meet time cost, quality, safety requirements and manage risk.Project Manager Responsibilities:Safe delivery of the project to quality, time and costManagement of all contractual issues arising from the project, in accordance with the appropriate procedures and within his delegated level of authorityProducing, updating, progressing, monitoring, recovery and issue of the Project ProgrammeManagement, control, forecast and monitoring of all costs associated with the projectMonitoring site progress against planned workEnsuring that the interfaces between different groups contributing to the project are correctly monitored and managed. This includes:technical support from headquarters-based expertsconsultants and contractorssite based activitiesEnsuring that all project risks are identified and properly managed by owning and maintaining the project risk registerProducing, reviewing and updating the PIPEnsuring that the correct technical input is incorporated into each work package and that all technical documentation is approved by the relevant Technical CouncilEnsuring that the scope of the work packages is adequately definedEstablishing and managing a system of recording, tracking and progressing all project documentation.The Project Manager will have the following skills, qualifications, experience and attributes… Occupational Skills and KnowledgeA qualification within either a engineering or related field.Project Management related qualificationDuties and RequirementsDemonstrates competent professional standards of behaviour and compliance with legal and technical requirements.Demonstrates competent commercial awareness and the ability to negotiate with Clients and improve Nuvia’s commercial position within contracts.3 years’ experience in Project Management as a Project / Senior Project Engineer.Demonstrable experience in engineering project delivery, with demonstrable competence gained in a project management position.Can deliver project management expertise, leadership, problem solving and conflict management skills to a competent level.A full UK driver’s licenseDesirable:Experience Bidding and Managing Projects within the UK Nuclear IndustryExperience Bidding for and Managing On-site Installation ProjectsExperience Managing Blue Collar Ops TeamsExperience with Passive Fire Protection (PFP) Why NuviaNuvia - a subsidiary of VINCI construction - is an international company that operates across highly regulated sectors including Civil Nuclear and has a strong presence and history of delivery at nuclear sites in the UK and internationally.Nuvia is a performance-driven company that is committed to the development of its people within a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence.
