We are currently working with a leading design studio that is looking to bring an industrial designer on board for a 3-month contract. This is a PAYE-only role (inside IR35) and will focus on developing a key design package for a major aviation-related project. The ideal start is ASAP, and the preference is for someone who can work on-site in a collaborative environment.Key Details:Duration: 3 months (zero-hours contract basis)Location: On-site preferredIR35 Status: Inside IR35 – PAYE onlyStart Date: As soon as possibleRole:This is a hands-on design role supporting the development of detailed, human-scale components within an airport environment. You'll be involved in designing items such as ticket barriers, fitted and freestanding furniture, elevator interiors, and other spatial features.We're looking for someone who combines creative vision with technical precision - someone who can both follow direction and push design ideas forward with confidence. While this isn't a leadership position, it does demand a proactive, team-oriented approach and the ability to contribute meaningfully from day one.Key Requirements:At least 5 years’ experience in a professional studio settingStrong proficiency in Rhino and SubD – this is a must-haveA collaborative mindset and comfort working in a fast-moving, detail-driven projectPlease note: due to the fast-paced, team-based nature of the work, freelancers or individuals with predominantly self-directed experience may not be the best fitTeam Environment:You’ll work closely with a project lead who is setting the overall creative direction.
