We are currently working in partnership with an award winning Housing Association with properties across the South West, who are recruiting for an Asbestos Removal Project Manager on a temporary three-month contract. This is a largely home-working role!The client is looking for someone to start immediately, is offering extensive home working and dependent one experience can offer £350.00 - £400.00 per day via an umbrella company.The ideal candidate will have led previous asbestos removal and compliance projects, ideally within social housing, and have access to their own vehicle with a full UK Driving Licence.Duties will include (but are not limited to): Effectively delivering on an asbestos project, reviewing surveys, planning supervision and oversight of asbestos removals through contractorsManaging a programme of asbestos remedial works and end-to-end delivery of asbestos abatement across the social housing stockPlanning and supervising the reinstatement works following removal of asbestosPreparing and reviewing survey information, reviewing desktop survey information and prioritising removalsEnsuring suitable method statements, risk assessments and PoWs are in place and implementedEnsuring compliance with Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, HSG 247 and HSG 248Managing budgets, subcontractor performance and procurement of asbestos removal servicesOverseeing invoicing, variations and cost tracking to ensure projects remaining financially viableExperience, Skills & Qualifications required:Experience of managing asbestos removal projects in domestic housingBOHS P402 and P405 (or equivalent)SMSTS/SSSTS and NEBOSH General Cert (desirable)Strong knowledge of asbestos and asset management platforms - D365Ability to work productively with contractors and lead on contractor procurementDetailed understanding of Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, HSG 247, HSG 248, HSG 264 and CDM 2015Working hours:37 hours per weekMonday - FridayPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
