They are now looking for a Formulation technologist to lead product innovation within the suncare market. The role involves formulating new products and line extensions, wet chemistry testing, regulatory compliance on finished formulations. This role is lab heavy with 70% of the time in a lab doing formulation, lab testing, initial lab batches and lab/manufacturing scale up. This role would suit someone with a number of years’ experience formulating suncare/skin care products.Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 37.5 Hours a week 25 days holiday + 8 Bank holidaysRole / DescriptionUse a variety of wet chemistry techniques to Formulate and develop new and existing SPF productsDevelop and launch new SPF and sun care products into the market while ensuring products meet the regulatory requirementsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers on technical projectsTake briefs from concept to shelf while managing the scale up processKeep up to date with industry trends and technologiesbuilding strong relationships with raw material suppliers, CMO’s, CRO’s and finished product suppliersRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or closely related scientific discipline3+ years experience in formulating and developing personal care / skincare productsRecent experience with SPF, Sun care, photoprotection, emulsion formulation and knowledge (preferred)Willing and able to work on site 5 days a week Full right to work in the UKSRG is the UK’s number one recruitment company specialising in the scientific, engineering, clinical, pharmaceutical, food/FMCG, energy & renewables, biotech, chemical and medical device sectors.If you would like to apply for this position, please use the link provided.
