We’re known for our clear, dependable reporting and our commitment to helping clients solve technical challenges.We’re currently looking for a Logistics Administrator to join our expanding team and support our Geomaterials & Mineralogy departments. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the smooth running of high-profile projects with national and international importance.About the RoleAs our Logistics Administrator, you’ll be the first point of contact for incoming samples, coordinating their receipt, documentation, and distribution. You’ll ensure that every sample is logged, tracked, and managed efficiently—from arrival through to dispatch—helping maintain quality and traceability throughout the process.Key responsibilities include:Receiving and logging incoming samples into our databaseManaging sample custody and chain-of-custody documentationCommunicating with clients, couriers, and subcontractorsCoordinating shipments to labs or returning samples post-analysisHandling administrative duties: purchasing office supplies, mail, scanning, etc.Supporting internal teams with scheduling and logistics tasksWhat We're Looking ForWe’re after someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You’ll need to be comfortable working in a technical environment, handling and tracking samples, and managing day-to-day office logistics.Essential skills & experience:NVQ Level 4/5, HNC, or equivalent in a relevant fieldAt least 2 years’ experience in logistics, sample handling, or office adminExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong written and verbal communication skillsGood IT literacy; familiarity with databases and workflow tools (e.g. Asana)Ability to coordinate across teams and with external partnersThis role is office-based in Redruth and requires regular, hands-on involvement with physical samples, so remote working is not available.
