This position balances creativity, technical proficiency, and project management skills. The Project Architect is responsible for overseeing the design and construction of projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and adhere to industry standards.Salary Range£40,000 - £49,500Core ResponsibilitiesUndertaking project feasibility studiesPreparation and development of Building Information Models (BIM)Physical model making to explore design optionsConsultation with consultants in preparation of pre-planning informationExtensive site analysis and context researchResearching planning regulations and communicating with local authorities about planning permissionsProduction of design drawings and internal reports for submission to the Local Planning AuthorityMonitoring and discharge of planning conditionsDrawing edits and revision issues as instructed by Line ManagerCollating design information for each project and keeping it up to dateKeeping up to date with industry trendsAssisting with the production of project engagement informationDrawing up risk assessments, looking at surveys and investigating other issues that could affect how a building is designed.Assistance with the production of the Designers Risk AssessmentSetup and hold initial client briefing meetings to set project parametersAssist with the engagement of external consultants to support project deliveryPreparation of end of stage reportsDesign and development of technical detailing package(s)Production and ongoing development of the architectural specification(s)Assist with the setup and administration of the Building Contract, where appropriateAssist with the production of the Health and Safety file in preparation for project handoverDefinition of resource requirements for various projects, across all RIBA Work StagesManagement of internal resources to facilitate successful project deliveryMonitoring and reporting of performance across junior rolesDefine, develop, and manage positive relationships with client, consultants, and project teams to promote future working opportunitiesPromote the business by attending any relevant expos, networking events, and other social events that might assist in expanding the client base of the practiceCompetenciesProficiency in software such as Revit, Adobe Indesign, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Loop.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Strong understanding of the building regulations, planning policy, and industry standards.Strong physical model-making skills.
