The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a proactive CCTV Operator to support its Environmental Enforcement Team in safeguarding public spaces and enhancing local services.Your Role & ResponsibilitiesIn this vital role, you’ll be the eyes of the borough—ensuring smooth operations across surveillance and enforcement services. Your key duties include:Ensuring all work complies with statutory regulations including Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, Data Protection, and Council governance policiesOffering technical support and real-time communication to frontline officers via radio and phone systemsManaging police and service radio channels, dispatching tasks and responding promptly to callsRecording and preparing accurate documentation and evidence for internal departments and external partners, within legal frameworksBuilding and maintaining collaborative relationships with law enforcement, housing associations, and council services to enhance evidence gatheringManaging your workload and adapting to service priorities as directed by supervisorsOperating CCTV systems in line with current legislation, policies, and the Code of Practice, within a dynamic Control Centre environmentIdeal candidates will demonstrate:Strong knowledge of public safety CCTV procedures and relevant legal and operational standardsExcellent organisational and time-management skills, able to handle fluctuating prioritiesProfessional communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations tactfullyFlexibility to work rotating shift patterns—including evenings, weekends, and public holidaysWhy Pertemps?Pertemps Recruitment Partnership has been a trusted name in staffing for nearly 60 years.
