Were currently looking for a Logistics Administrator to join our expanding team and support our Geomaterials & Mineralogy departments. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the smooth running of high-profile projects with national and international importance. About the Role As our Logistics Administrator, youll be the first point of contact for incoming samples, coordinating their receipt, documentation, and distribution. Youll ensure that every sample is logged, tracked, and managed efficientlyfrom arrival through to dispatchhelping maintain quality and traceability throughout the process. Key responsibilities include: Receiving and logging incoming samples into our database Managing sample custody and chain-of-custody documentation Communicating with clients, couriers, and subcontractors Coordinating shipments to labs or returning samples post-analysis Handling administrative duties: purchasing office supplies, mail, scanning, etc. Supporting internal teams with scheduling and logistics tasks What We''re Looking For Were after someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Youll need to be comfortable working in a technical environment, handling and tracking samples, and managing day-to-day office logistics. Essential skills & experience: NVQ Level 4/5, HNC, or equivalent in a relevant field At least 2 years experience in logistics, sample handling, or office admin Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Good IT literacy; familiarity with databases and workflow tools (e.g. Asana) Ability to coordinate across teams and with external partners This role is office-based in Redruth and requires regular, hands-on involvement with physical samples, so remote working is not available.
